Motorola Milestone comes officially with Android 2.1
Motorola announced the latest milestone with the completed platform Android 2.1. This is the first smartphone with Android 2.1. With the Android platform 2.1, this device offers the ability to use different applications at the same time and is one of the thinnest slider Qwerty phone in the world because of the size of only 13.7 mm thick. Milestone also has a screen measuring 3.7 inch high resolution that has the ability to pinch and zoom with a resolution of more than 400,000 total pixels.
A number of mobile applications from Google available include a Google Search, Google Maps, Google Mail and YouTube integrated into the mobile phone. In addition, users have access to thousands of applications and widgets from the Android Market can be downloaded either free or paid.
As a device Android 2.1 platform, Milestone is designed to enhance the mobile experience for consumers and web-browsing experience with full screen, the ability to switch between different applications and Google applications. This product was first introduced in the U.S. market in CDMA networks with a Droid and on GSM networks in Europe by the name of Milestone.
